What are the benefits of duct cleaning and coating?

Energy Savings

Contaminants within the heating and cooling system can cause the system to work harder and shorten the lifespan of components within the system. Although filters are used, the heating and cooling system can still get dirty through normal use. When a HVAC system is clean, it doesn’t have to work as hard to maintain the desired temperature allowing less energy to be used, leading to improved cost-effectiveness as well as improved Indoor air quality.

Indoor Air Quality

Indoor air quality is one concern that building managers and building inhabitants have when they decide to investigate a HVAC system. During normal day to day activities we can generate a great deal of contaminants and air pollutants, such as dander, dust, and chemicals. These contaminants can be pulled into the HVAC system and re-circulated 5 to 7 times per day, on average. Over extended periods of time, this re-circulation can cause a build-up of contaminants within the air handler and throughout the Internal duct-work.

While there can be concern for a contaminated HVAC system, It doesn’t necessarily mean unhealthy air. The situation may be contributing to larger health issues or harbouring contaminants that could cause serious problems for people with respiratory health conditions, autoimmune disorders or some environmental allergies.
